Comparatively new type of weaving for Kazakhstan – tapestry is enjoying wide popularity.The history of its development began from the end of thirties of XXth century. Outlines were made by famous Kazakh artist A. Kasteyev, A. Ismailov, G. Ismailov, N. Cjivchinskiy, and tapestry were weaved by folk masters in techniques of traditional kazah weaving.
