Lermontov Russian State Academic Theatre

Russian State Academic Drama Theater was built in 1969, and since 1972 under the theatre functioning a museum that tells about the theater, history, creative work of actors and directors. From the first theatrical season (1933)were collected a sizeable amount of exhibits. Performances in Russian are on in the large and small hall every day except Monday. That day in the gallery «Tengri-Umai», which is located in the foyer of the theater, a presentation of contemporary Kazakh art is held. 

Gallery Gallery «Tengri-Umai» started in 1990, and today it counts more than three hundred works of modern art: painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, etc. In the theatre, under the gallery there is also a souvenir shop, which will be of interest to guests of the capital.
